Legacy Data Conversion Services

We convert the databases most vendors avoid.

InsurCore Data extracts, cleans, maps, validates, and prepares business data from legacy databases, backup files, spreadsheets, APIs, and custom systems — regardless of age, format, or condition.

The Problem

Why this conversion is hard

Most software vendors want clean import files — most businesses have years of messy operational data that has never been cleaned.

Legacy systems are rarely well-documented. Tables, field names, and relationships are often inconsistent or undocumented.

Vendor export tools frequently don't export everything — attachments, notes, and custom fields get left behind.

Duplicate records, broken relationships, and inconsistent date formats create import failures at the worst possible time.

Internal IT teams rarely have the time or tools to handle a full extraction, cleanup, and transformation project alongside daily operations.

A failed data migration costs far more than doing it right the first time — in time, trust, and re-work.

What We Extract

What InsurCore Data delivers

SQL Server BAK file restoration and extraction
Paradox database conversion
DBF / dBASE / FoxPro data extraction
SQLite and PostgreSQL database conversion
Microsoft Access database migration
Excel and CSV cleanup and normalization
JSON and XML data transformation
API-based data extraction and connector development
Custom Python scripting for non-standard sources
Field mapping and schema translation
Deduplication and relationship rebuilding
Record count reconciliation and validation reports
Audit trails and exception reporting
Import-ready file delivery (CSV, SQL, XLSX, JSON)

InsurCore Data began with insurance agency management system conversions — one of the most complex and demanding data migration verticals in the small business world. That experience handling multi-gigabyte SQL backups, legacy AMS exports, and poorly documented schemas translates directly into every legacy data project we take on.

The Process

How Every Conversion Works

01

Data Review

We inspect the source files, database, or export structure to understand what exists and what condition it's in.

02

Inventory

We identify tables, fields, relationships, record counts, duplicates, and critical business objects.

03

Mapping

We map the source data to the destination system or desired output format, including any custom field logic.

04

Transformation

We clean, normalize, restructure, and convert the data using scripts, tools, and custom logic.

05

Delivery

We deliver clean, structured, import-ready data files with a validation report and audit trail.

FAQ

Common Questions

What if I don't know what database my system uses?

That's common. Send us a sample or describe the software and we'll identify the format. We've worked with dozens of legacy systems and can usually identify the source type from a file extension or system name alone.

How long does a conversion typically take?

Simple file-based conversions (CSV, Excel) can turn around in days. Complex database extractions with cleanup and validation typically take 2–6 weeks depending on data volume and quality.

What do you deliver at the end?

Clean, structured data files in your target format — CSV, XLSX, SQL, or direct database import. We include a validation report with record counts, exception logs, and an audit trail.

Do you sign NDAs and handle data securely?

Yes. We sign NDAs before reviewing any data and handle all files with secure transfer, encrypted storage, and access controls. Data is used only for the conversion project and deleted after delivery.

Can you handle very large files?

Yes. Our platform supports TB-scale file processing using a streaming architecture — no memory limits, no size caps. We've processed multi-gigabyte BAK files and large Paradox database folders.

Ready to move your data?

We offer a free initial data review — no commitment required. Send us a sample file or describe your source system and we'll tell you exactly what's possible.
